PAIR of all in one LED light boards to upgrade CA1249 lamps - Lucas type ST38 'Pork Pie' Stop & Tail lamps converted to include indicator functionality with split WEDGE T10 bulb holders and split RED/AMBER lenses. On board electronics make this product suitable for 6V & 12V vehicles and Positive & Negative earth systems.
This is a new product specially designed to fit Lucas ST38 lamps (and modern reproductions to the original pattern) that have already been converted to include indicator functionality - Vintage Supplies' or sVc's 'CA1249' part numbered product range. The product features a main, circular RED and AMBER light board with a centre slot that fits over/locates on the vertical partition of the triple WEDGE T10 bulb holder retro bolted into the ST38 lamp body. An additional WHITE LED light board is attached perpendicular to the main board to provide number plate illumination.
The board is fitted with three WEDGE T10 bulb base connectors on 10cm connecting wires. One connection illuminates the Tail light (first brightness RED) and the Number Plate light (WHITE). The second connection illuminates the Stop light (second brightness RED). The third connection iluminates the AMBER indication/turn signal LEDs. Use of T10 bulb base style connectors allows easy return of the lamp to its original condition and capless bulb operation if required.
These boards have a very low power requirement and provide great all over lens lighting from 30 RED LEDs and 24 AMBER LEDs, with the fast response time/illumination under braking characteristic of LEDs - plus good distinction between STOP and TAIL red light brightnesses. This is a 'plug and play' product that requires no attachment other than plugging in the three T10 bulb connectors, locating the slot in the LED board over the partition and reassembly of the lamp. Two 3mm thick foam lens seals are provided in the kit, incase they are needed for cushioning. Conversion kit for a PAIR of lamps.
