A PAIR of LED light boards for conversion of Lucas ST38 'Pork Pie' type lamps fitted with all RED lenses to bright LED operation. On board electronics make this product suitable for 6V & 12V vehicles and Positive & Negative earth systems.
This is a new product specially designed to fit the Lucas ST38 lamp and modern reproductions to the original pattern such as '776' part numbered products. Each board features a main, circular RED light panel with a centre slot that fits over/locates on the vertical partition of the triple bulb holder bolted into the ST38 body. An additional WHITE LED light board is attached perpendicular to the main board to provide number plate illumination - though the assembly is suitable for lamps with or without a number plate illumination window.
The board is fitted with two BA15S bulb base connectors on 9cm connecting wires. One connection illuminates the Tail light (first brightness RED) and the Number Plate light (WHITE). The other connection illuminates the Stop light (second brightness RED). Use of bulb base style connectors allows easy return of the lamp to its original condition if required.
These boards have a very low power requirement and provide great all over lens lighting from 36 RED LEDS, with the fast response time/illumination under braking characteristic of LEDs - plus good distinction between STOP and TAIL brightnesses. This is a 'plug and play' product that requires no attachment other than plugging in the bulb connectors, locating the slot in the LED board over the bulb holder partition and reassembly of the lamp. Two 3mm thick foam lens seals are provided in the kit, incase they are needed for cushioning. Conversion kit for a PAIR of lamps.
